2014 Honda CR-V vs 2014 Dodge Journey
Just about every auto manufacturer has released at least one version of a crossover utility vehicle. The prices of fuel refuse to budge, and CUVs have become the solution for those who cannot afford to adopt the space of a sedan or smaller vehicle. CUVs do get a significant increase in fuel economy, but that does not mean power and cargo space are completely sacrificed in every model. Take the 2014 Honda CR-V vs 2014 Dodge Journey and the winner is clear.
Even with a 500 pound decrease in weight, the Honda CR-V is capable of more horsepower and torque than the Dodge Journey. Although, the Dodge Journey does offer a more powerful V-6 option which the CR-V does not. That increase in power gives the Dodge Journey 283 horsepower and an additional 1,500 pounds of towing capacity, but it also comes with a drop in a fuel economy which is already significantly lower than the CR-V.
